Why is it still winter? We are now in April, and the weather has yet to warm up. The day after the first day of Spring (March 20), we had a snow storm up here where accumulation was at least a foot of snow. I luckily was able to work from home and did not have to trudge through the snow or deal with hazardous roads. By the time I stepped outside two days after, the roads were thankfully free of the white devil called snow. The days following that teased me with melting snow and warm, sunny, 60 degree springy weather. Just when I thought Spring had come, this just past Monday gave us yet even more snowfall in the morning... At least it was light and didn't stick to the roads. I'm starting to think summer in the Northeastern region of the US will become a thing of the past. For the history books.
I guess it's not too much of a loss since I still get to wear this faux shearing-lined leather jacket here. We can be warm and fashionable! It is already difficult to find a lined leather jacket that fits my petite frame. But to find one that is completely lined - meaning the sleeves and pockets too - with fuzzy warm faux fur, I really hit the jackpot. On top of that, it's faux shearling, which means no lovely lambs were harmed in the production of this jacket. I can be warm and guilt-free. I'm wearing the Stevie Shearling Jacket from Bebe. Pair it with a knit white, long-sleeved top, tan jeans, and tan lace-up boots for a total Amelia Earhart inspired look. Ready for take off... into this winter abyss.
