I've been aware of ASOS for years now, but this is actually my first purchase from them. They have petite sizes which is absolutely fabulous, and it's a massive selection for petites as well. I got four items from the online boutique.
ASOS PETITE Wide Pleated Culottes In Spot Jacquard - White / US 0: The first item is a pair of white culottes. I am in need of white bottoms. I thought these culottes are a trendy addition. These are a tad sheer. You can see from the pictures below that the color of my underwear peaks through a bit (gasp!). I figured with flesh tone undergarments, it won't be a problem. These need some ironing out or steaming before wearing out since the material is prone to wrinkling. A far as fit, the waist was too loose. I had to cinch in the waistband by taking in 2 inches. I should have gotten a 00, but they sold out.
New Look Petite Blazer - Cream / US 0: This blazer fits perfect. It sits nicely on my shoulders. It has three-quarter length sleeves. The style of the collar is a sleek and modern. It's unlined. The quality quite nice for the price.
ASOS PETITE Wrap Maxi Skirt in Jersey - Black / US 00: This skirt fits perfectly around the waist. The slit goes all the way up to the waistband but the sides drape over each other. When I step forward with my left leg, the slit has the potential to show 3/4 of my inner thigh, but it's only visible if you stand on my right while I walk. The slit goes up pretty high, but your vagina won't show unless you do a high kick or split or some other athletic move purposely showing it.
ASOS PETITE 90's Skater Dress with High Neck - Red / US 0: This dress was so cheap, I could not pass it up. 12 bucks! I love square high necklines. It has an A-line cut (fit-and-flare). From the waist up, it fit perfect. The skirt is a little long for the style, at least, for me. It hits a couple inches above the knee. For someone with short legs like me, there's a sweet spot on my thighs where dress hems hit that flatter my height. I pulled the back of the skirt to simulate a bodycon dress, and it turned out that I would love this dress better as a bodycon, considering where the hem hits me above the knee. I plan on doing a DIY transforming this dress into a bodycon. Stay tuned for that!
